Sonic arts collective GWRANDO’s debut presentation
Capeli: Capel Crannog

The evening of 01/07/07 was the culmination of GWRANDO’s two-week residency at Capel Crannog, a site-specific investigation into the changing role of the chapel in the culture, community, and landscape of Wales. A group of five artists have created work in response to the site, and have also created ways for the community and general public to participate in the project, including a temporary choir, musical compositions and improvisations, interactive games, and opportunities to help document the project. In all, over a hundred people have been actively involved with the project making sounds, music, films, taking photographs, giving us words, drawings and paintings. This unique archive will form part of an online/touring exhibition, which will also present film, music, and artworks additional to those presented on the night.
