Capeli Choir

The temporary choir was open to all ages and levels of experience, and by the time of performance had gathered 45 members. The choir performed an improvised work with Lou Laurens (voice/conductor) and Jacob Whittaker (record players) based on Pererin Wyf/Amazing Grace, as well as four part harmony hymns.

“Sanctaidd” was written by Llangrannog’s Cranogwen who’s life and work inspired Penny Jones’ work “Taith Cranogwen”, performed during the residency. “Mae D’eisiau Di Bob Awr” is a hymn of yearning; memories came flooding back during rehearsal and performance with tears and stories. “Dechrau Canu, Dechrau Canmol” was sung to the tune of “Aberteifi”.
